赤 狐 彼女と一緒に 幸せね
Translation:
Red fox
together with her
Bliss, isn't it?
The above poem is for the NaPoWriMo2021. Day 21. I wanted to try writing a haiku in Japanese and decided to go with this imagery.
For context, I recently watched the The Tale of The Gumiho (a Korean Drama) and couldn't help drawing parallels with InuYasha (Anime) and The Little Prince (animated film.) Although in InuYasha's case, the motif wasn't a fox, each of these stories has a time-jump and at least one frame where the animal/demon sits happily for a while with their person. Each frame gave me a calming feeling. So I gave it a try.
