Payal

Ta

Thai

Thai that

Crown to sole,

A single line rules.

Discipline, etched in every move.

The swirl of

her pavan pheri,

felt not seen.

A cyclone,

moulded, controlled, elegant,

And yet, nonchalant.

Five feet below, a five step turn.

Dig dha dig dig dhai.

Imbalanced.

Ghungru

breaks

free.

The above poem is for the NaPoWriMo2021. Day 7 Prompt was a combination of the prompt Payal and a challenge to either write a shadorma or a fib poem.

Since both these versions are used as writing exercise, I decided to use a fib stanza ( 26-syllable poem following Fibonacci sequence 1/1/2/3/5/8) a shadorma stanza (26-syllable poem with 3/5/3/3/7/5 syllable sequence) and a reverse fib stanza. The rhyme scheme needs work but I loved working on this one!
